Smoothie and juice inspiration

Smoothies and juices are the perfect way to give yourself a big nutritional boost. Packed full of vitamins and minerals it is a very easy way increase the amount of vital nutrients you have in your diet. I love a juice or smoothie in the morning but it makes a great afternoon snack to curb those sugar cravings and increase energy and it is also wonderful as a post-exercise boost to help aid recovery. Why not try some of these great starter juice and smoothie recipes.

Juices:

  • Red Juice

    1 beetroot, 2 stalks of celery, 3 handfuls of spinach, juice of 1/2 lemon and 1 tsp of spirulina

  • Orange Juice

    1 apple, 2 carrots, 1 stalk of celery, 1 pear, juice of 1 lemon, 1-2 tsps of turmeric

  • Green Juice

    2 leaves of cavelero Nero, handful of spinach leaves, handful of kale, 2 stalks of celery, small handful of parsley, 1 apple, 1/2 pear, 8 raspberries, juice of 1 lime.

    Smoothies:

  • Purple smoothie

    1/4 watermelon, small handful of spouted seeds, 1 cup of frozen raspberries or blueberries, handful of spinach, 1 tsp of Maca, 1 tsp of spirulina or chlorella.

  • Green smoothie

    1/4 cup of soaked & drained oats, 1/4 avocado or 1 small banana, 2 cups of coconut water, 1 tsp of chlorella or spirulina.

  • Orange smoothie

    1/4 papaya, 10 blueberries, small handful of spinach, 3-5 cm of ginger, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tbsp flaxseed oil or 1tbsp soaked linseeds, 1 cup of coconut water.
