Stress & Adaptogens

18.00 – 21:00

The Tinkersgranddaughter - Bobs’ Prep Kitchen at Warborne Farm, Warborne Lane, Lymington SO41 5QD

For this supper club Rhi introduces to you the amazing benefits of adaptogens. In this busy and stressful modern world, adaptogens can be our plant friend in supporting us with coping with what life can throw at us. Nature has evolved and adapted to environmental stress and we can tap into those benefits by consuming these plant medicines.

Adaptogens are herbs, roots and other plant substances (like medicinal mushrooms) that help our bodies manage stress and restore balance. These hold key nutrients that help bring balance to the body by supporting our hormones, regulating our immune systems or contain powerful antioxidants to support our response to stress. Adaptogens supports the body in the recovery from stress, whether physical, mental or emotional.

Life can be stressful and we cannot always control what is around us and this can all impact our health and immunity. We now need to actively seek out ways to support our response to stress and improve our stress resilience and recovery in order to protect our health. There are many physical and natural ways to support our nervous system but adaptogens may be a tool that you have not thought about using and could be the answer to help you feel more balanced and energised.

Come and learn about this plant medicine and how to incorporate it into your diet. A truly inspired menu created by Bobs will help you to connect with what is on your plate and experience the benefits of food as medicine. There will also be the opportunity to purchase the recipes from the evening alongside some of the key ingredients used on the night. To hopefully encourage and inspire you to cook and heal yourself at home!

Build Your Immune Resilience

18.00 – 21:00

The Tinkersgranddaughter - Bobs’ Prep Kitchen at Warborne Farm, Warborne Lane, Lymington SO41 5QD

This month Rhi wants to show you how to build your own immune resilience using food as medicine.

In Autumn, we want to plant the seeds of support for our health and build our immune resilience, so we can be health-ready for the winter months when we can be more vulnerable to pathogens. In this supper club, Rhi will discuss how we can support our immune health through nutrition and lifestyle and which herbal teas, remedies and tonics can help us feel stronger and more robust. She will also share a mini winter wellness natural first aid tips with you and Bobs will inspire you with an immune nourishing menu using seasonal foods and herbs. Using food as medicine when we need it most.

There will also be the opportunity to purchase the recipes from the evening alongside some of the key ingredients used on the night. To hopefully encourage and inspire you to cook and heal yourself at home!
